The cylinder liners are semi-finished and must be finished by your machine shop. Pistons, rings, piston pins and snap rings are standard size.

Select Bearing Size and Piston Type for the Isuzu 4JG1 Rebuild Kit

You choose three options before checkout. Main bearing size and connecting rod bearing size are each available in Standard, +0.25 mm and +0.5 mm. If the crankshaft journals are still at their original size, standard bearings are normally correct. If the crank was ground in an earlier rebuild, measure the journals and pick the matching size.

Piston type is offered as Type 1 or Type 2. The two styles are not interchangeable, so compare the pistons you removed with the photos and send us pictures if you are unsure which style your engine uses.

Rebuild Guidance for Track Loader Engines

Before assembly, clean every oil passage, fit a new oil filter, and pre-lubricate the bearings and cylinder walls. Replace the coolant if it is contaminated, and check the radiator and hoses so the rebuilt engine does not overheat on its first shift.

Items such as the oil pump, water pump, turbocharger and injectors are not in this kit, and neither are the engine block, crankshaft or cylinder head. Inspect and measure those parts first. If they are in good condition, an Isuzu 4JG1 rebuild kit is a practical, cost-effective repair compared with replacing the whole engine.
